Hey you know that place on 8th street that used to be the Krispy Kreme, then it opened as some crappy overpriced sandwich shop called Faye’s where NYU kids could use there student ID’s to pay ? Well apparently it reopened right under my nose as a place called Cafetasia. I stumbled on it walking home tonight. They were closed, but they had just been open for business, they seemed very nice, when i stopped in for a menu. I’ll report on the food once I have eaten it but in the mean time here’s a snap and the menu.
Beware of high prices for beverages. A tiny pot of green tea cost almost as much as the lunch special.

This place is awful. There's a review of it on nycnosh i think and it pretty much gets the whole bad experience right. nasty.

I didn't think the place was that bad. I went there a couple of weeks ago and it was rough around the edges, but I still got a good, relatively cheap dinner. I was there on Thursday and dinner with my girlfriend was less than $30, but then again, we didn't drink.
